¿Qué es nicht?

Nicht equivale a no en español cuando niega verbos, adjetivos, adverbios o sustantivos con artículo definido. Es la negación más versátil del alemán.

Posición de nicht en la oración

La posición de nicht varía según lo que se niega:

1. Negación del verbo completo → nicht al final

Wir verstehen das nicht.	No lo entendemos.

2. Antes de lo que se niega (adjetivo, adverbio, sustantivo con artículo definido)

Ich lese nicht das Buch.	No leo el libro (ese en concreto).

3. Con verbos de dos partes → nicht antes de la segunda parte

Notas adicionales

• En las oraciones con verbo modal + infinitivo, nicht va antes del infinitivo: Ich kann nicht kommen.
• En el Perfekt, nicht va antes del participio: Ich habe nicht geschlafen.
• nicht puede ir al principio de la oración para mayor énfasis: Nicht ich habe das gesagt. (No fui yo quien dijo eso.)
